yipeee i made it through my first full week of work! some days were not easy. my life has changed a lot this week...i'm going to really have to get used to my schedule. here is a typical run through...well at least a few days it went sorta like this:
{Melissa's work week schedule}
3:30am - Aiden wakes up to eat (middle of the night feeding, some days he wakes up more tho')
5:30am - wake up for the day, take shower, get ready for work
6:30-7am - try to feed Aiden one last morning feeding, usually he's not interested
7:15am - take Haylee to school
8:00am - work starts
9:00am - pump
11:30am - Lunch/pump
2:30pm - pump
5:00pm - work ends, go pick up Aiden from sitters
5:35pm - get to sitter's, pick up baby, go home
6:00pm - get home, feed baby, Tim cooked dinner every day this week {yay!}
8:00pm - prep kid's for next day {lay out outfits, make lunches, fix bottles, clean bottles/pump parts}
9:00pm - kids bedtime
10:00pm - my bedtime ;)
i am really not liking getting home so late...but what can ya do? i feel like i don't see much of Haylee anymore & it stinks not being able to help her with her homework {except the math, i don't miss that part, ha ha!}. let's just face it, being a full-time working mom sucks, unless you are able to set your own hours. one day...i will be doing that! but for now, i just have to suffer like the rest of 'em! :/
on a positive note - the pumping is going very well, i pretty much just pump milk for the next work day. Aiden is taking a bottle pretty well, so that is good. of course he still loves being nursed, which is great - i love my bonding time with him too, i miss it. at least i am still able to provide for him, i'm thankful for that.
a few AWESOME things happened this week - unfortunately they are private & i'd rather keep them that way, one of them was an answer to our prayers - a true blessing! another was just amazing news we received & also a blessing from God. i want to give God a big SHOUT OUT of THANKS. that being said, i haven't been diligent much at all about reading my Bible like i would like to. so i'm going to start reading a chapter a day {the plan is to read while i'm nursing or pumping}...and then blog about it & how it relates to me & my life. i'll be starting this tomorrow, so praying it makes me GROW in God's word & helps me spiritually also. i am sad to say since Aiden's birth we've only been to church a handful of times, it's because i don't want to put him in the nursery...but each time we have gone i just put him in the Moby wrap & he's sleeping soundly! so praying that i can get back on board with attending church more too because i TOTALLY miss it & i feel so blessed everytime i go. God is GREAT!
an unfortunate thing that happened this week is Tim got the flu. :( he is on the road to recovery tho' and praying he's 100% better by Monday! he can't help me w/the baby, which has been a little tough the past few days, but it's ok because i have missed my little man so holding him and spoiling him rotten as much as possible on the weekends {sorry Jessica, ha ha!}. he LOVES his sitter, Jessica...smiles when he sees her. i'm so blessed to have found her. she's a perfect fit for baby AJ!
okie dokies, i have to get off of here and finish cleaning up this wreck of a house. that is one thing i did not touch ALL week {and it shows!} because hello...where would i have the time to clean???? Saturday is going to be my cleaning day i guess. not sure when exactly i'll have time for photography right now, but praying for God's will and in HIS time...i'm thinking of just scheduling people in the evenings (Saturdays/Sundays)...and once the sun starts going down later i can start doing week day nights again too. i miss photography...i'll continue to do it & once i get a good grip on my schedule i'll learn how to fit it in more & more. :) it's HARD to keep a healthy balance, but i'm trying!
