It's really happening...
Tim and I have been having serious conversations lately about the future. Many a topics have arose and I'm really just EXCITED for what is in store for our family here shortly. I know what many of you are thinking and no, we're not going to start baby #2. Not for a little while at least. ;) I know it's something that has popped up more times than not lately and you know what? I'm NOT ready. Not right now. Haylee WILL have a sibling one day, but probably not this year. :) I am happy with that decision. I've really prayed about prayed and thought about things & I'm not feeling it's in the "stars" for us at this time. When we decided to have Haylee, we just KNEW it was the right thing to do at the time. I don't have that feeling right now. Not with so many things in store this year.
We were supposed to take a New York trip last Nov if you remember, we decided to cancel for a few different reasons - one being we moved (kind of spontaneously) into this awesome HOUSE we now rent. I love it. I couldn't have asked for a better place or better "landlords". We love Todd & Ann (and her family!). So Tim & I are planning on using our flying miles that we purchased for a trip to NY. I'm not sure when but it has to be this year, probably after busy tax season and when Haylee has a vacation from school. :)
And just the past few days it has hit me....I only have TWO SHORT YEARS left to use up my Montgomery GI Bill which means in civilian terms....I have two more years to go back to school so that the military pays 100% for me to go! Otherwise it's out of pocket for me. Which will have been a WASTE and I would be sitting here thinking "what might have been?". Therefore, yes, I am saying it, I'm going BACK TO SCHOOL. I am very excited about it too. Just this morning God pointed out to me that I just need to take these chances & stop procrastinating & stop letting these "critical voices" weigh me down. It is time for ME to shine. What have I chosen to get my degree in? Well...it's something I absolutely LOVE and ADORE. It is considered an ART - which we all know I LOVE. It could eventually make me good $$, although that is NOT something I'm basing this off of. ;) PHOTOGRAPHY. Yes...you CAN get a degree in Photography. At least an AA. I KNOW I am good at it already, I just have to learn the in's and out's of lighting and functions and cameras and all of that good stuff. I know I can do this and for the first time in YEARS (probably 10 years actually) I finally feel like I KNOW what I want to do in life. It's truly amazing. I think God has shown me all along, I just didn't really take the time to LISTEN to His plan.
At any rate, this year IS going to be a year of CHANGES and all for the GOOD. Maybe next year we will focus on other things besides school, traveling and self improvement. Did I mention I am working on reading TWO self improvement books? I will add the other one (Tim bought it for me for Christmas) to my sidebar later. I cannot wait. Reading more is definitely going to be one of my 2008 "goals" (Tim and I are going to write them all down in a few mins too!!). I am also planning to read my one year Bible all the way through this year. It is going to be a very BUSY 2008 THAT IS FOR SURE. I sure hope it's filled with many blessings for YOU ALL also. I know it will for us. We are going to keep God focused more this year and CENTER of it all. We have learned over the years that is the ONLY WAY to survive. :)
Love to you all....
Mel
My beloved Cheeseball...
Let me explain. A few weeks ago, the weekend before Christmas to be exact. My WONDERFUL sister-in-law Kathy brought over a cheeseball. At the time I had been eating all of the other pre-dinner snacks so I wasn't that hungry, but I attempted the cheeseball (sometimes they could go either way you know) - I couldn't stop eating!!
Then I thought about it throughout the week & text messaged her to please bring it again for Christmas dinner. ;) And SHE DID. From that day on my life has not been the same!!! Thank GOODNESS there was A LOT of the cheeseball left over after everyone left for Christmas dinner. I think it's because we had SO MUCH food (we really did! almost a full ham left over!). So I started snacking on it here & there that night. In between Guitar Hero plays, in between bites of apple pie, and the more I ate it the more I grew addicted!!
It is 4 days AFTER Christmas and I am still snacking on this cheeseball (is that gross? well, it still tastes WONDERFUL!!!!). :) But I think tonight is the night we have to say goodbye and throw out the rest of this delectable cheeseball. Kathy....it is so good! I think it's my new favorite food. :) When I fill out those silly surveys and it asks me what my fav food is, I'm going to HAVE to say this darn cheeseball! :)
I even took a picture of it....there was only a few bites here & there & I almost ate it ALL GONE:
Ok enough about the cheeseball...here's a cute pic of my sweet little girl! Tonight we made homemade (with premade crust, does that count?) pizza & you can see remnants on her cute little face! Oh yes and she did her OWN hair (did you notice?) and those are her NEW Valentine's pj's that she bought with a few other toys with money & gift cards that Grandma Tullock & Grandma Barbara sent her! Thanks Mom & Gma!! (she also bought a High School Musical Cheerleader outfit & some other cool little toys!!)
Love ~ Mel
PS...oh YA....have to call out my AUNT T! She gave me a call today because my cousin Nate is playing in the Disneyland parade today at Disneyland (she was wondering if I was there today, but unfortunately I'm blocked out until the New Year because we have the less expensive annual passes) - he's also playing at the Crystal Cathederal tomorrow and the Rose Parade for New Years!!! How awesome is that! :) He must ROCK in the band. Go Nate!!! Wish I could stop by & see ya. Have fun!!
New year, new things
Things have been great! We had a wonderful Christmas day, I could not have asked for anything better to be blatantly honest. We had a beautiful morning and afternoon of just me, Tim & Haylee opening gifts and the look and magical essence of Haylee on that Christmas morning is something I will never forget. It was just endearing and wonderful!! :) Christmas night we had the family over...let's see there were 17 people here! I made prime rib and ham and a bunch of sides and it all turned out GREAT, which was great which was a RELIEF since I am far from Ms. Martha Stewart "chef".
Work has been S-L-O-W lately but fun. :)
I am in the process of setting new goals for myself in the year 2008 ~ I will reveal those later on this weekend. ;) For New Years' we will be enjoying it as a family just here at the house. We want it laid back and relaxed after a BUSY Christmas.
Alright I'm going to get off of here and watch "The Simpson's" movie with Tim. :)
God bless everyone.....Happy New Year!
Merry CHRISTmas!
i'm doing last minute baking, wrapping, CLEANING (lots of that) & tying up loose ends before the BIG DAY tomorrow. i just cannot believe that it's finally here!!! amazing!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS! thank you SO VERY much for being born so that you may die & save us all from SIN. what a wonderful Christmas present, i must say it's the BEST Christmas present anyone has ever given to me!
CHRIST is born
so is everyone READY for Christmas?? only 4 more days! can you hardly believe it because i can't! :) we FINALLY have everything done, i finished the rest of the stocking stuffers today & the food for Christmas dinner, everything is here at the house & i'm reared & READY to go!
i have a few confessions though...i haven't been nice. i was called out last night (and i just really love my husband, he's really the BEST thing for me and i'm super glad that God has placed him into my life. honey if you ever read my blog, i love you so very much, i mean that from the bottom of my heart) -- i really haven't been myself for awhile now to be quite honest. i'm not sure WHAT it is. i haven't been as positive & happy at home & to my family. but you know what, i am going to CHANGE (or improve myself). this is a fresh new year in a few weeks & i CAN do it! i'm going to be a happier person. sometimes i don't blog about ALL of my feelings, or there are days i just don't blog at all & sometimes it's just because i feel like griping. LOL. but truly, what do i have to complain about? what do i have to be upset or sad or depressed about??
here are some positive things about me & my life right now....i am NOT bragging, but i'm just trying to put a positive spin on things. i really hate it when people complain about everything. i've been around many people like that through out my life & i'm going to start separating myself from those types of people from now on. if i surround myself with POSITIVE things, i will be a better person, i truly believe this. :)
positive things:
1. i am a born again Christian, i have God in my life, i have an outstanding church that i attend & worship in & i love every minute of it when i'm there!
2. my family - my family is great. i have the BEST in laws ever. i truly love them & i think they are all great. i get along (for the most part) with all of them & sure we have our flaws, but who doesn't? we have SO much fun when we're all together. my side of the family is great too. i am closest (at this point in my life) to my sister - Liz. i feel like we have a great connection & i'm not letting go of that ever again. it took us some years to grow where we are & i just love it & love her & her husband too. i love my mom, step dad (even though we have ALOT that separates us right now, i don't let that get to me, i love everyone. i forgive everyone. no one deserves to be unloved, no matter what), my biological dad Michael (i cannot tell you how many times i've been upset that i don't hear from him, practically ALL of my life. BUT, you know what? i LOVE him. he's my dad and even though he chooses to do his own thing & sometimes i don't know if he's out there...well i love him anyway). i love my brother - he's crazy but i love him. ;) i love my funky extended family too. i really do.
3. MY HUSBAND (these aren't in any order by the way!) -- Tim. he's always been there for me, even when family wasn't. he's always had FAITH in me, that i can do anything i set myself up to do. he thinks i'm beautiful, loyal, honest, caring, trust worthy & sexy (sorry...had to say it!). we've grown up together in many ways. we still work on things that aren't perfect. we're human. we're goofy. we're weird. i'm in love with him for many reasons. sure, we get on each others' nerves, but that's what family is about too. ;) he's a great father and such a wonderful husband. ok i'm getting teary eyed. i truly do not think he'd ever do anything to put our lives in danger & he'd give his life for us in a heart beat. he has a GREAT heart. he deals with my imperfections. he's honest & he will just tell me like it is. i love that about him & at least i always know how he's feeling. :) he's our "bread" winner and he still comes home & does things around the house. he does it without complaining and that is something that he does BETTER than i do for sure. i love you honey.
4. Haylee -- you know, i didn't really want kids growing up. a lot of woman WANT to be a mom ever since they were little. but i wasn't one of them. at least i didn't think i was until i became a mother. Haylee was totally planned out - it was one VERY scary decision in my life to try to have a baby, but i am sooooo very glad i did. tim and i both loved the name "Haylee" and of course i chose to spell it differently (although i see it more & more these days) and he let me choose her middle name - Gabrielle. which means God is my strength. i just thought that was so beautiful. it really suites her well. i could go on forever about Haylee, she is truly coming into her own personality and i can tell you it's a GREAT mixture of both tim & i. i pray she gets the BEST of both of us. :)
5. Our house -- we have prayed years for a HOUSE. we wanted something with a yard and in southern CA that is a very TALL order. we needed something within our means. one day tim came home & asked if we wanted to take a look at todd's in law's house. it went by fast, i walked through & said YES I LOVE IT. i just cannot believe we are living in a house (4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms) - with a POOL none the less. and lo and behold, within our financial needs. praise be to GOD on this! it's truly amazing. the neighborhood is safe & nice, they have a lot of pretty parks, sidewalks, kids across the street and next door, the schools are top rated for the area & haylee has just fit RIGHT in. she really didn't skip a beat when we moved her from her old school to this new one. (she is great that way) i love it here and hope to be here for many years.
6. My CHURCH -- i know i mentioned it above, but let me just say...i love it. i have NEVER EVER been to a church like this. (maybe in Northern CA) they don't care what you wear....what version of the Bible you have...how much money you are giving to their church....what you look like, what color you are, what race you are, what walk of life you are currently in....it's church. it's how i envision Heaven actually. people singing, bringing you to TEARS, goosebumps (or God bumps) on your arms everytime you sing or when you are so moved by a message that you just cave in & give your ALL to the Lord. people so very NICE & give you a genuine smile, hug or handshake. it's very incredible. very happy God brought us here.
7. My JOB -- i'm very blessed to have the job i do. the company is great, the people are NICE, i've already made friends for life i can tell. :) i like everything about it. there are times i get stressed, but that's life! i'm very thankful for the job i have. i'm happy Helene gave me a great recommendation. thanks Helene! :)
ok i don't think i've missed anything, i've hit all the BIG points. i am so grateful. thank you GOD for everything, help me to be always THANKFUL and never griping for more more more. thank you for my family, church, job, husband, daughter and home. thank you for it all. thank you for CHRISTmas, thank you for coming to earth to die on the cross so that we might one day claim you as our Heavenly FATHER so we can be HEAVEN bound. i love you!!!
now that i've said all of that....i have pictures! :) yesterday was my company's Christmas party & it was GREAT! our video went fantastic! everyone loved it, i was so relieved and happy. i had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard! here are some pics....
Here's Haylee with an ornament my friend Lim got her - that was super sweet of Lim to do that! :)
Me & my BABY girl! Aren't we so pretty!

Steph, Ben, Lisa, Stephen, Lim & Jessica
Me, Lisa & Steph...we are the THREE musketeers at work :) Love these girls!
Alrighty, that's it for now!! I'll be bloggin' again after Christmas. Tomorrow Haylee and I are going to BAKE BAKE BAKE, then on Sunday we'll CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN and on Monday we'll probably BAKE and CLEAN :) Then Tuesday is Jesus' birthday, so I hope you ALL enjoy that special & precious day with the ones you LOVE and never take one sweet day for GRANTED. God bless you all...love ya bunches ~ Mel
Just me
I liked my GM this morning because I actually took time to READ it. It's amazing! Let me tell you what it means to me. I (as I am sure most of you do also) always think back to something I did wrong, or even sometimes wonder if I am doing the RIGHT thing currently. This could be with how I treat my husband, Haylee, or even relationships I'm currently in or struggling with. My mind sometimes goes in a bunch of different directions throughout the day - but thankfully when I focus on God - everything seems to make sense. Sometimes (well let's be honest here, ALOT OF TIMES) I second guess myself. It's so awesome to know that I follow a God who will ALWAYS lead me, ALWAYS guide me and ALWAYS be there for me - even if I DO choose the "wrong" path. Right?
I'm also glad I don't have to worry about other's sins. I COULD - but I shouldn't. :) If someone did something wrongful to ME, all I have to do is forgive them & let God do the rest. It's just awesome - sorry I'm just going on and on about it I think God just really shined light on a few feelings I've been facing this week (and for awhile).
Anyway...here's my GM & will you PLEASE pray for Haylee? Tim just called me at work while I was typing this to tell me Haylee is so weak she can't even stand up and she's been sleeping all morning (I had to be at work at 7am, so he was going to take her to school today). So I'm not sure what is going on, I'm praying she gets better before Christmas. Nothing worse than a sick child during the holidays! Pray for her please! Thank you.
MY LITTLE CHILDREN, THESE THINGS I WRITE TO YOU, SO THAT YOU MAY NOT SIN. AND IF ANYONE SINS, WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE WITH THE FATHER, JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS. ( 1 JOHN 2:1 *NKJV )
Dear Melissa,
Now if you are feeling low because of something that you have done wrong, or a sin that you have committed in the past, know that you have forgiveness through our Savior Jesus Christ. For when you repent it is written: "COME NOW, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER, SAYS THE LORD, THOUGH YOUR SINS ARE LIKE SCARLET, THEY SHALL BE WHITE AS SNOW; THOUGH THEY ARE RED LIKE CRIMSON, THEY SHALL BE AS WOOL." ( ISAIAH 1:18 )
Our sins then are not only forgiven, but they are also forgotten by our Heavenly Father as well! For it is written: "FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE." ( HEBREWS 8:12 )
So don't beat yourself up, or hold those things back when you talk with God. Instead, always speak to Him as you would a loving, caring, understanding Father. After all Melissa, that's what He is!
Also remember that: BLESSED IS HE WHOSE TRANSGRESSION IS FORGIVEN, WHOSE SIN IS COVERED. BLESSED IS THE MAN TO WHOM THE LORD DOES NOT IMPUTE INIQUITY. ( PSALM 32:1-2 ) For Then: WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE AFRAID; WHEN YOU LIE DOWN YOUR SLEEP WILL BE SWEET! ( PROVERBS 3:24 )
Hey Liz....
This was a fun night wasn't it????? ;)
I love you!
I just wanted to blog a little bit about my sister - Elizabeth Mychal Seaman. :)
She is missin' her husband tonight so I thought I'd cheer her up before my guests start arriving.
Elizabeth....or Liz as I call her is the world's best sister!
I really wish we lived closer, ask me about 20 years ago & I would've said, I wish she'd get a life, ha ha! We used to fight ALL OF THE TIME. But it was the sisterly love. Ya know?
I pray one day that Haylee has a sibling that she grows up with & loves as much as I love my sister (and brother). I really miss her & wish we lived closer together. She doesn't live too far, and I'm hoping one day (next Spring maybe?) to make it out to Idaho for a visit!
Liz...I hope you have a wonderful night! I love you & praying for Al to get home safely.
If you want to check out my sister's blog: www.alandliz.blogspot.com
Big Hugs from your Big Sis,
Melissa
(or Sissy as you used to call me!)
A little Saturday morning bloggin'
I am pretty proud of Miley this morning as she has been scratching at the backdoor when she wants to go outside. She doesn't always go, but she likes to run out there in her little blocked off area and play. She does that to go poop too! Yay!
This morning is pretty much going to be a cleaning day for me. I really wanted to pass out the presents at the church today, but I'm really NOT feeling good and I would rather stay indoors as it's supposed to be cold out today. I really need to clean the house and do the loads and loads of laundry I have piled up throughout the weeks (I got behind). We are also having some friends and family over tonight to have pizza & play guitar hero 3 & just socialize. We haven't seen some of the friends in awhile (at least I haven't). It should be fun, just hope I'm feeling better by tonight! That is why I should probably stay indoors. I feel bad, I wanted to pass out those gifts....but I know God knows my heart.
Haylee has now joined us in her red Christmas footed pj's & her & Miley played some, now she is coloring her color book that Santa gave her at her Santa visit. We just started "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" too. :) All that is missing is my steaming cup of coffee!! I might make some, sometimes on Saturday mornings Tim gets up & goes to get us some coffee from Starbucks.
Haylee is asking me a lot of questions about the North Pole and Santa Claus. :) I think it is so magical for kids & she is so fascinated by all of it. I really pray to keep this magic going for awhile! I know that a lot of times other kids ruin it for our children, but I pray Haylee keeps believing for years to come! And one day when she doesn't believe, I will try to make her understand that Santa is real, he is the idea of giving to others. Moreso than Santa, she KNOWS that Christmas is JESUS' birthday & she told me last night she wants to give him a HUGE hug and a KISS on his birthday. We will most likely make Jesus a birthday cake. We've done that before. Well we know that without CHRIST there would be no CHRISTmas! :)
Oh I am so excited - at work yesterday I completed most of the editing for our Christmas video. It was SUCH a slow day, good for me, I spent ALL DAY on it. I showed the rest of the gang and they loved it. They said they would like to buy me lunch one day just for doing it all. Yipee! I am just excited that I got it all done! Yes!! Now I don't have to worry about it this weekend. ;)
Ok I think I'm going to get off of here & make some HOT coffee, man it sounds soooooo good. I love my coffee. I tried to give it up, but I couldn't, I'm addicted. :) Going to go snuggle my snuggle bug too (aka, Haylee is my Bug, always has been!). Love to all....finally.....it's feeling a LOT like Christmas. God bless you today!
Good night
Today work was good, not too busy but not boring. Us newer people finished taping the footage for the Christmas video. I think it's pretty neat we have to do a video & air it at the Christmas party, it's a lot of fun & we all went out to dinner afterward. It was fun! Just hoping we get it all edited and stuff the way we want it before next Thursday (the party day)!! Yikes!
Hmmmm well now that I am typing I can't think of much to say! Everything is the same!! Work, home, work, Haylee, work, family time, work, holiday prep! Same ol' stuff, different day! Well I think I will go now....I am sure I will find more to talk about tomorrow. :) Have a great night!

"I Celebrate the Day"
Last night Haylee & I were looking for some Christmas music. I sometimes listen to Pandora at work & I heard a song by Relient K ~ which at the time had NO idea, but they are a Contemporary Christian band. :) I loved the song because I like alternative rock styles of music (Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, etc.) and I liked the style of Relient K. So I found a CD at Target & Haylee & I jammed out on the way home. :)
There is a song on the CD called "I Celebrate the Day" and I just love it. It brought tears to my eyes on the way to work this morning, so hopefully you will listen to the clip above & hear it. Here are the words, it SO describes Christmas and the true meaning in this song. I love it! Tell me what you think....
"I Celebrate the Day"
And with this Christmas wish is missed
The point I could convey
If only I could find the words to say to let you know
How much you've touched my life because
Here is where you're finding me
In the exact same place as New Years' Eve
And from a lack of my persistency
We're less than half as close as I want to be
The first time you opened your eyes
Did you realize that you would be my saviour?
And the first breath that left your lips
Did you kow that it would change this world forever?
And so this Christmas I'll compare
The things I felt in prior years
To what this midnight made so clear
But you have come to meet me here
To look back, Think that
This baby would one day save me
And the hope that, That you give
That you were born so I might really live
To look back, And think that
This baby would one day save me
And I, I celebrate the day
That you were born to die
So I could one day pray for you to save my life.
Just a thought!
I'm not feeling good & neither is the rest of my family, so hopefully we'll be feeling a bit better by the weekend. I cannot believe how CLOSE to Christmas we are, can you? It is SO crazy. I am VERY proud to say that I got all of Tim's shopping done online (last week) AND tonight Haylee & I went to a couple of different stores. I always say he's SO hard to shop for, but really not so. He's pretty easy (as long as he doesn't buy it for himself first! Happens alot!). It took us maybe an hour, granted I had it all in mind what I wanted to get him. I think he will be getting like 2 things he actually asked for, which is pretty good since I usually just get him per his request. We decided to get a little creative this year. I won't put what I got him in case he reads my blog. :) Just in case, I doubt he does! ;) I love you anyway honey!
Anyway, that was pretty brave of us both to take Haylee since she IS the blabber mouth, but it was a lot of fun all in all. She is pretty entertaining if I do say so myself. For instance (and I already told Tim this story, I couldn't help not to!) ~ we were at Target tonight looking at CD's and DVD's and trying to have Haylee pick something out herself for Tim. She grabbed a Jay-Z CD (totally not Tim's style, but all the funnier!) & said "I think Daddy would like this" and I said no, I don't think so and she says "Why because he says YO, YO, YO!". Ha ha! She said Yo Yo Yo in her most "rapper" voice. It totally cracked me up right in the middle of Target. Gosh, I LOVE this little girl! I hope she stays this funny, even in her teenage years. ;)
I had two of my girlfriends come with me to my house for lunch this afternoon (they are co-workers of mine) and they wanted to see Miley again. They saw her the week after we got her and she was tiny. They thought she has gotten SO big. I took her out of her cage/bed & they were petting her and SHE PEED ON ME. LOL! She peed on me! What the heck man?! :) I was not impressed, but they thought it was funny. Oh well, ha ha!
I'm finally feeling like my TO DO list is dwindling down (thank goodness!) -- so we're having a few people over this Saturday. I'm hoping during the day we can go to our church to pass out the Hope for the Holidays Christmas presents! I guess last year was CRAZY ridiculous with a row full of bikes they passed out amongst all of the gifts of the people who "adopted" families. I am HOPING to bring Haylee so she can get a feel of the less fortunate. I am really trying to help her understand, I think she gets it a little. The other day in the car Tim & I were trying to explain that some people are homeless. She was real quiet and then she saw an elderly man dressed in a red flannel long sleeved shirt and jeans walking down the sidewalk and she goes "Oh, like him? He doesn't have a home?". It was cute! Tim and I giggled, but I guess it's sort of hard to explain to her at this age. :) So to actually go & hand out the gifts might be a good thing for her. I'm trying to teach her that not EVERY kid has a big tv with a thousand DVDs and CDs and a toy box full of toys, or even their OWN bed. I am very desperately trying to teach her NOT to be SO materialistic, as SO many kids out here are. It's really disturbing to me how one namebrand or something can mean SO much to someone (not bashing namebrands, I wear them and I buy them for Haylee...but we don't need them to survive, know what I mean?) but when others have NOTHING and that is ALL you worry about, there's an issue. Anyway....off a beaten path here, but I hope we get to do that on Saturday. :)
Ok I think I'm going to go now & warm up. It's a cold 50 here and inside the house feels COLD (must be the hard floors) -- but I'm sitting here on the rug next to our NICE fire place! Yay! Praise God for that! :) Well I guess it could be worse, Liz texted me that it's 29 in Idaho! WOWSERS!
One of those days!
I am definitely having ONE of those days. :( It has not been good at all. I guess I'm cranky today I think I'm on the verge of catching whatever cold Tim & Haylee have right now too. Maybe PMS too? LOL. But Tim & I have been at each other all day - just nit picking & bickering & I HATE those days. :( We don't usually argue, but today he has been a jerk & so have I - to each other.
Then Haylee has some sort of dry skin rash all over her poor little beautiful face. :( It's all red and bumpy. She has sensitive skin like me & she had already been getting a chapped face due to the wind and cold here. Today it just looks really bad.
My house is a disaster. It just took me TWO HOURS to clean up the living room & kitchen. Just because there's not a lot of time to do much else if I clean during the week. I clean dishes every night (we take turns) but that's it, then I do everything else on Sat/Sun. Well I wasn't in the mood today. I have three pretty green plants in my kitchen in the past few weeks they have been attracting these nasty gnats, tons of them!!!! This morning I had had enough, so I put them outside & now my kitchen looked bare. So I had to find stuff to fill in the holes, but I think I did a good job at that.
On top of it ALL - stupid DOG Miley!!!! I love her, but today I am so upset with her. She has been PEEING on the dang floor ALL day. A few mins ago I just had ENOUGH because she will be outside for HOURS and then come in and PISS right in front of me on the floor! Right in front of me!! I don't know what the heck to do! I have ignored her, yelled at her and I just got done spanking her and THREW her outside. I was beyond mad. I feel that she just isn't learning how to PEE outside. :( I had a GOOD cry (and Tim got mad at me!). I'm just FRUSTRATED TODAY.
I need a good night. I don't know why things are bugging me today, but they are. I wish they weren't. We MIGHT go up to the mall to have Haylee see Santa tonight. If so, I pray we are all NICE to each other and have a GREAT night. I really really really REALLY want us to have a good night as a family. The weekends are just too SHORT and should be SPECIAL. Not this crappy day I've been having.
Thanks for letting me vent...
The Golden Compass

I'm determined
Well on top of cleaning up the house (which feels like a never ending duty) and making lunches (it's actually kind of fun, I'm not even trying to complain! I love putting fun little things in her lunch box!). I have to....
- Pick up the rest of the photos, stuff, address & mail out over 40 Christmas cards!
- Plan out when and what to buy for Christmas dinner (I know I know I have lots of time, but still)
- Finish Christmas shopping! This is especially hard for me because I HATE crowds, well right now EVERYWHERE you go, there's a crowd! Or mean, disgruntled people, it's sad!
- Finish our Christmas video for work by THURSDAY, help edit (or prob do it myself, ugh!) it and have it SHOW ready by Dec 20th...this is one of my BIG worries truly.
- Drop of Adopt-A-Family gifts
- Wrap the rest of the Christmas presents, buy Haylee stocking stuffers (Tim did a lot of this already though)
- Bake bake bake (this will be the weekend of Dec 15th)
- Mail out Christmas gifts to family far away
- Finish crocheting one of my gifts!! (ok let's be honest I haven't even started!)
There are other little things, but these are the BIGGEST and the ones I'm most worried over. :) I guess it IS a pretty long list. One I need to accomplish/finish by Dec 15th. That is my deadline, LOL!
I'm trying to get things planned out in my head - like this weekend will be spent running errands, hopefully last min Christmas gift buying. I am placing some orders online for Tim. ;) Shhhh don't tell him! And I might start baking a little early. I'm excited about that part, Haylee LOVES to be in the kitchen so she will get to help.
I'm really worried today because the guy at work who said would edit our work's Christmas video FLAKED out on us last minute. I was frustrated. To say the least. :P And now NO ONE knows how to do it (including me) and I have a feeling I'm going to get stuck doing it with everything else on my list to do...and it just frustrates me to the utmost high. LOL! Seriously though. It does. Why do people promise things and NOT follow through, that is a HUGE pet peeve of MINE. That and bad drivers. Which a guy almost HIT me (he had a Texas license plate if that tells you anything) while I was pulling out of my driveway today. Argh! He saw me coming, sped up & SWERVED around me. With Haylee in the car. I almost cussed & gave him the finger that's how mad I was. But I PRAYED and God helped cool me down, but my blood pressure was still pumpin, I could feel it.
Anyway.....just going on and on here. I had to vent, I'm so sorry it's not an OPTIMISTIC entry tonight! :) I know it'll be OK and the holidays are SHORTLY approaching. All I need to do is blink & they'll be gone!
I have another 15 or so words I need to teach Haylee, it seems like they are going FAST with all of these words! She barely learns one set and she's onto the next. I tell you, it's just like I am going to school with her! I'm NOT looking forward to the math part. I'm afraid that'll be Tim's job. ;) I'm really not good at it. At all. The spelling and English and fun stuff I can do. But not math and science and history (blah! boring!). :) We shall work on those words tomorrow and the whole weekend, hopefully they'll stick! I have to be careful because sometimes I lose my patience with it all. I don't think I could ever be a teacher! God bless 'em all!!
What a day!
Anyway...MY day on the other hand was great! :) I had an easy day at work (slow!) and I went out to lunch with my two friends from work. They're great! I feel like I can just tell them anything. We have a lot of fun.
I am excited because we're going to a concert on Saturday -- hopefully at least! Almost Acoustic Christmas - with Linkin Park (my fav band...actually Good Charlotte is my all time fav, but after seeing LP in concert last summer, I am thinking they are about equal in my book now!), Avenge Sevenfold (they're OK), Angels and Airwaves (I have some of their songs on my player below) and some other bands that Tim & I like! :) Yipeee! I WILL take pics, hopefully I can bring in my camera.
On Sunday our church has their Christmas concert - we'll go to it & afterward we're going to Tim's Dad's house to eat & socialize. It should be fun. It's always fun to have the whole family together. We haven't done that in a LONG time! I think since August, LOL. I will try to take some cute pictures. ;) I should have a lot!!
Does everyone have their Christmas shopping done? We're done with Haylee (she was so easy!!) and most of the family. We're just shopping for the KIDS this year since we are buying for 8 of them. :) Tim has a pretty decent size family. I have 6 nephews and 2 nieces now. It's crazy. But it's great! I'm not used to a big family...I just have one brother and one sister & they don't have kids yet. Tim has a big extended family with a step sister (who is more like a SISTER to him/us), a half sister & two brothers. They're all married except his half sister and have kids. When we all get together it's like a small army.
Well hopefully you'll hear from me before the weekend, but if not I will post pics over the weekend -- probably on Haylee's blog. That's my "picture blog".
Take care & have a good rest of the week!
If I can be totally honest right now
I did however just read the GM for today & thought I would share on how it related to my day. Because as GOD would have it, it ALWAYS does, whenever I read it, I always see myself in it. Just a reflection of myself, it's like opening up my email and looking in a mirror, isn't HE amazing that way??
I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST; IT IS NO LONGER I
WHO LIVE, BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME; AND THE LIFE THAT
I NOW LIVE IN THE FLESH I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF
GOD, WHO LOVED ME AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME.
( GALATIANS 2:20 *NKJV )
Dear Melissa,
Now this verse was written by the Apostle Paul, but it
also applies to you and me as well. Now you are probably
thinking how does that apply to me? Well in God's eyes
we died with Christ because our sins died with Him.
Thus it is written: AND YOU, BEING DEAD IN YOUR
TRESPASSES AND THE UNCIRCUMCISION OF YOUR
FLESH, HE HAS MADE ALIVE TOGETHER WITH HIM,
HAVING FORGIVEN YOU ALL TRESPASSES, HAVING
WIPED OUT THE HANDWRITING OF REQUIREMENTS
THAT WAS AGAINST US, WHICH WAS CONTRARY TO
US. HE HAS TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY, HAVING NAILED
IT TO THE CROSS. ( COLOSSIANS 2:13-14 )
Therefore we should also crucify our sinful desires each
and every day. For then the marks against us in The Book of
Life will continue to be cleansed by the most precious blood
of our Savior Jesus Christ!
So Melissa, if you are ever feeling unloved remember
the tremendous sacrifice made, and the tremendous price
paid for your sins! That is the greatest example of love
that this World has ever known, and it is offered daily to
you and me as well. Amen.
I feel like the past two days I've been a little selfish. Moreso at work though. I had a little upset yesterday morning and then this afternoon I got REALLY frustrated because I ordered food for the tax department and one girl came in late, forgot to place her order & so I had to run to the restaurant & pick JUST her's up. I was a little ticked off & it was showing because I went to all my friends & told them. Then after it was all said & done felt GUILTY for the attitude I bestowed. One, it was NOT Christian like. Two, the girl personally came to afterward and THANKED me whole heartedly for going to pick her's up. I bowed my head in shame & asked God to forgive me then & there.
WHY do I act this way? WHY do I say & do some things that are NOT the way I want to act as a human being? Well folks, it's called my sinful nature and that was instilled in ME upon birth. :) It's just life. We are ALL sinners and we are NOT worthy of anything. It's the honest to goodness truth. No one owes you a thing. No one. Especially not the CREATOR of the universe! But guess what? He gave HIS ALL for me. He gave HIS ALL for you too. He died for MY sinful nature. I wished I didn't act this way, but thankfully I have a God so near & dear to me who forgives me for acting this way.
God, help me to be a better person. I am far from perfect, far far from it. Help me to be more humble & not to fly off the seat of my pants when things don't go MY way. Thank you SO much for dying for my sinful nature and for my sin. Thank you for Heaven. Thank you for my God Minutes, even though I haven't been reading them. Thank you for my blog so that I can just say what is on my mind without anyone looking at me like I'm CRAZY. Thank you for everything, I love you!!
Is it pretty?
today was a great day! it was Monday, but still turned out decent. Wow! we got a new receptionist at work & she is really nice. it was fun getting to know her & to teach her a few things today. tomorrow i am scheduled to go out to lunch with her, so that will be fun! especially since my two other friends, Steph & Lisa are going also! :) i love my job. i love pretty much everyone there too.
after work i helped video tape for our Christmas video & i was in it just a LITTLE bit, which is FINE by me! i am very camera shy when it comes to talking. a pretty face i CAN be, but opening my mouth...not so much. ;) Tim and Haylee had dinner together while i was doing that & they went Christmas shopping & bought my presents! i am so excited to see what i'm getting. :) Tim told me NOT to ask Haylee because she'd probably spill the beans, LOL! and she would...she's a talker!
hopefully tomorrow is a great day also. i'm excited to go out to lunch! i think i'll get off of here and start my book tonight. :) and then we'll watch some of our shows - we've been taping them & we watch them different days.
have a good night, let me know how you like my new background!
love,
mel
Goes by so fast
yesterday we were out of town at my brother/sister in laws all day - it was fun, read about it on Haylee's blog with a LOT of pictures of sweet Emma. man that baby is so beautiful!! :) today we went to church this morning - another awesome message about Hell. i know that sounds crazy, but it was so meaningful and true. Hell is truly a real place, people don't want to talk about it, but it's true. if you do NOT know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour - if you have not truly accepted Him - well, Hell is a real place. i always pray that no one i ever run across ever takes that option. i always pray and hope that i lead by good enough example and let my light shine through for Jesus. i know i am FAR FROM perfect. i do bad things. i am only human. but i just always hope that i'm walking in the path God would have me walk. not my own. i could go on and on here. i have a feeling God is going to amaze me with this book i ordered with one of my gift cards from Barnes & Noble (posted about it below a few days ago). i will be sharing what i learn and read then. :) i'm excited!! the book was only $4.98 (plus shipping, which cost more than the actual book). i kept coming across it, so i know it was meant for me. we shall see!
i got off on a tangent didn't i?!
ok - so after church we went shopping a bit & then ate Albertacos which is the BEST authentic (well i think so!) Mexican place - it's fast food, but it's good and fresh. :) yuum! then we went shopping some more. we came home & finished putting up our outside lights.
Tim put up the strand on top near the upper window & i decorated the bushes on either side (you can only see one side in this picture) -- and we also have a big palm tree decorated with white lights - i posted a pic before. :) we put our fiber optic snowman on the front porch. we went out tonight & looked at it when it got dark & i was surprised to see some people driving by and they slowed down by our house, yipeeee! :) :) :) we have A LOT of people with lights up on our street, it is so pretty!
It's 46 degrees tonight - so we put a log on the fire (don't pay attention to the chaos on top of the mantel, Tim put the stockings up there, he was afraid they would catch fire, lol!). Isn't it pretty? it was SO nice & toasty!
what a NICE day! after the lights & decor i cleaned & am still doing laundry (does this ever end?). i made dinner - it was a frozen lasagna and it is the yummiest. made my Claimjumper! with some Texas toast. then i made cookies for tomorrow at work. we're having a Christmas cookie bake off. i just made my peanut butter Snicker cookies - they are always a BIG hit. then i cleaned the kitchen again & made Haylee's lunch for tomorrow!
tomorrow is a busy day! work and then after work i have to stay late to be in a video all of the new people at work have to create a Christmas video for our company (happens every year, since i started in June, i am considered a new person, lol). it's quite humiliating, but hopefully it'll turn out OK! :) i'm hoping at least. ;) not quite sure of my part exactly! but i'm bringing the video camera.
next weekend is the Almost Acoustic Christmas concert put on by a radio (secular) station out here. it will have a lot of my favorite bands! including Linkin Park, which i LOVE in concert, they are sooooo good! i'm exciting. that is on Saturday. on Sunday is our church's Christmas concert -- which also always turns out very wonderfully! i'm so excited. :)
ok i better get off of here. hope you all have a great week!
love,
mel
Seriously
i wish i had a good book to read (come on Barnes & Noble....hee hee). for now i'll just blog some random things!
i worried if Miley would go outside this morning with the raining just a pourin, but guess what? she DID! she even stood out there & played a bit. nothing can stop this dog i swear, she's pretty easy going. i LOVE that about her. she likes to talk back though....figures, we live in a family of TALKERS (i've even formed into one!). she's adorable though and i've discovered i have to bathe her 1-2 times a WEEK in order for us to put up with her funk. ;) she can get preeeeeetty smelly at times! i don't know how! she's loving her raw hide bones and she's pretty much chewed them all up to pieces! looks like Santa will be getting Miley some bones for Christmas this year! ;)
Haylee got her school portraits back yesterday! they turned out a lot better than her other school's photos. i actually purchased some of these too, so i will be mailing those out, if you really want one, please let me know. i think i have 16 wallets. i totally forgot i ordered them until i got them yesterday! :) i wish i would've known or remembered because i just SEALED all of my Christmas cards, but oh well. would be kind of bad if i UNsealed them to insert the school pic. LOL!
my feet are SO cold right now. i am NOT wearing "weather appropriate" shoes! i'm wearing ballet flats and not gouloshes! (or whatever you people call them....whatever, it never rains here!)
ok...well my office is full of people now so better go! tootles!
A family foto

How'd that happen??
i was trying on pants and the size i THOUGHT i was in was very baggy. well, i thought to myself, there is NO way i'm a size smaller that what i'm in now -- i tried them on just to prove to myself, and WOW - they fit.
i guess i'm on a semi-weight loss plan because i eat a Smart Ones or a Lean Cuisine for lunch EVERYday. i probably go out to eat for lunch maybe once every 2 weeks (except the for the past few weeks it's been more often). and i'm usually just drinking water, vitamin water or diet coke. i am very active too. not exercising (i did that for 2 days and that was it, hopefully i'll get back on track soon!) - but just the fact i HAVE to be moving all day.
i work a desk job & probably 80% of the time i'm standing or running around and not at my desk. i run a lot of errands for the partners too. i also have an active 5 yr old and a puppy that keep me busy and i usually don't SIT down until around 8pm or after from the time i get up (615am). could that be it?? it could be the "stress" of the holidays too. i'm so excited!! i didn't really want to lose weight (that is probably why i lost it...go figure) - when i WANT to, i can't!
i thought i'd share because frankly, i'm amazed. i don't know how much i weigh (don't own a scale, they're depressing) - but i know i went down one pant size! woooo hoooooo hooooooo! LOL! :)
sorry if i sound like i'm gloating...i'm not. i'm just bored today. :)
i cannot wait for the weekend!! i think we're going to see tim's brothers an hour away and that means i get to see my baby niece Emma!!!!! i am thrilled. oh i have to call Brandie and tell her, ha ha! i want to get a pic of me holding her. i love her so much and i'm excited she's here.
i hope you all have a FABULOUS day & i hope you all get good news like i received today!!!!!!! :) :) :)
Pampering myself
like the other day we were at the mall & i had a Bath & Body Works gift card. so i bought some Japanese Cherry Blossom lotion, shower gel & body spray. man that smell is SOOOO good, i LOVE it! i think it's my new favorite smell. i might have to go back after Christmas & buy more. ;)
i had a Barnes & Noble gift card also, but i don't make it to the book store all too often. i had a little extra time at work today -- so i surfed the B&N website & something (God perhaps?) led me to this book:
"How to Succeed at Being Yourself, Finding the Confidence to Fulfill Your Destiny" by Joyce Meyer. i like this author, she's a Christian author & i have read some of her book before. Mrs J - i know you read her! the book fit into my budget & the title intrigued me a bit. :) i'm always looking for ways to BETTER myself, so who knows! i will let you know how it is.
well i keep thinking about this today - since i read it on her blog. actually the link is on Haylee's blog - "Pray for Ashley". if you don't mind, can you please go over there & read her entry from today? she really needs and wants to be home with her family this weekend to decorate the Christmas tree. Ashley is a precious little girl who has been through numerous transplants. she is VERY sick, and the mom (Trish) and Ashley (i think she's not yet 2 yrs old) are stuck in a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska and her husband and other 2 kids are living in their home in Texas. i know they've been in the hospital a long time now, please pray she gets her pass to go home for a few days so Trish & Ashley can be with the rest of their family. it sounds like something she really needs. i don't even know these people, but if you start reading her blog...it'll touch your life forever. trust me.
also - keep praying for my sister, Liz. i don't even think i need to go into details on here, but she could always use your prayers during this time. sometimes people go through tough times & they just need a little extra prayer and thoughts to get through, you know? it's one of those times. i know Liz would greatly appreciate it also!
i hope you have a wonderful night & enjoy the time with your family. :)
love,
Melissa
A snowman cake & lights!
it came out pretty good if i do say so myself! and i do! ;)
also wanted to blog pics of my house on the outside, my wonderful hubby tim put up lights around the bottom and we got a fresh wreath for the outside (look at the entrance way) and put lights up the palm tree! it looks really nice! after christmas i will see if there is something else like a nativity or snowman or something that lights up that we can put in the yard for next year. we might still do lights around the front window of the house also. we shall see!! if you look really hard you can see tim in one of the pics below (he was on the phone correcting a direct tv invoice, the crazies got it wrong!!).
i have to get off here and clean the upstairs, it looks like a clothing store threw up in our bedrooms and i'm going to go through haylee's toys to give to charity to make room for christmas things! :) it's always a good time to talk to her about kids who do not have certain things....she has SO MUCH stuff!
have a GREAT week! love -- mel
Blogging now & a POLL (please comment!)
Hmmmmm -- so I've discovered a few things about myself this long Thanksgiving weekend (although long it seems to be flying by!). Mainly some parenting that I need to dust up on. Haylee is a great kid. She sometimes needs a little more PUSHING than other kids her age. I discovered the other day that I've created a monster in her. Not really noticing, but it was pointed out to me by someone I LOVE dearly that I am NOT helping her by doing everything for her. I have done this her whole life (all 5 years of it so far!). Not even meaning to, thinking I'm making things easier on us all by doing everything, but really only making her lazy, unmotivated and undisciplined (by me). I don't think it is too late to change it either. I am determined. Just as an example, up until this weekend she did not know how to buckle her own seat belt. She probably KNEW how to do it, but never did it. She struggled, so much until I just did it for her. So we made her do it all weekend and now she's doing it like a pro! It's not hard, and she just needed to discover that, but she never could or would because I'd always be there doing it for her!
Another example....riding her bike. She still has training wheels, but I would almost always push her on her bike and she never tried and so I never made her try. We are still working on it, but after all weekend of riding her bike, she's improving quite nicely. There are other things too, but I just had to realize for myself that I was never helping her by doing everything for her. I NEED her to learn responsibility! I do not want her totally relying on ME for everything, especially as she gets older. I want us to have a respectful relationship - not her resenting me for doing everything for her. You know what I mean? It's hard parenting sometimes! No one said it would be easy, but you really have to be on your game. ;o)
Anyway....we are having a great weekend just hanging out as family and doing fun things together like the park, shopping (LOTS of it, almost all done!), cooking and baking (yes, I'm baking) and playing with our puppy Miley! It's fun. :o) I have taken a lot of pics and developed some for the Christmas cards! One of the pics I took of Haylee & Miley is so funny, Haylee is trying too hard to smile...but I thought it was hilarious, so I printed it up for cards. Some of ya might get that one. I did some others too. I will post them all up later, closer to Christmas. :o)
I have a lot of pics, I will post them later on! I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I think I'll work on a family blog and see how I like it. That way I can just blog in one spot...unless you all love the individual blogs. Either way, doesn't matter to me! Let's take a poll.....a family blog or individual (like I have it now) blogs? Which do YOU prefer? I'll post the same amount of pictures and words and let you know everything you want to know about all of us. Just in one place. Or I can keep doing what I'm doing in two different places. I'll let YOU decide! ;o)
My beautiful NIECE is here - Emma LaRae
can you please pray for her? she is in NICU right now because she has low sugar and they just found out a bacterial infection. she's in one of those little incubator things right now. she has an IV. at first i was worried, but she looks SO content and healthy...after all she IS 8lbs! ;) she's as cute as a BUTTON and i cannot wait to HOLD her! i love her so much! :) :) :)
she will be discharged after one week. they have to give her antibiotics to rid her of the infection. she will be just fine! yay Emma's here!
after our hospital visit we went to jeff & brandie's house (even though brandie wasn't there, lol) and had our Thanksgiving dinner. brandie's grandma is visiting from Utah and we decided to go ahead and have Thanksgiving dinner even with brandie & emma in the hospital. it was really good food and we all had fun! haylee loves playing with her cousins!
here are a few pics of emma and yes i took a lot! i'm surprised i wasn't kicked out of the hospital, lol! j/k.
Look at all of her HAIR! Yup, auntie will be in the bow makin' business again shortly!
A random pic of Miley & Haylee when we got home
At jeff's - - here are my nephews (Emma's three brothers!) from bottom to top:
Jordan, Dallin & Hunter
Hunter & Haylee (she was eating veggies & ranch dip, LOL)
Haylee & me this morning after we got ready to go!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
She's here!!
i don't know the stats (tim just talked to his brother at 6am, but he didn't get exact stats, i know she was about 8lbs and 20 inches) -- but we're going to their house tomorrow and if brandie isn't home from the hospital, i am going to go see her and take pictures of baby emma! yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
today i get off work at 2pm (1 hour and counting, LOL!). miley has a vet apt today to get shots too. then i'm going to clean and probably do some mild shopping. ;)
if i don't get online tomorrow, then i just wanted to wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
love
mel
28
this morning i woke up to my husband whispering 'happy birthday honey'. very sweet & he gave me a card. then haylee came running in with her card for me. :) my family is great! miley even wished me a happy birthday by peeing on my rug, how sweet. :P
then i got to work & i got a text message from my sister! and i was greeted by a friend at work with a happy birthday melissa! then i walked away from my desk, came back to not one, not two but THREE birthday cards and gift certificates! oh my goodness, i wasn't expecting that at all. we're all going out to lunch today too, i thought that was great enough. :) i love my co-workers, as my friend steph says...they're not just my co-workers, but my FRIENDS. i really do have a great work enviornment, i am truly blessed.
my cell phone was put away (at work) but i got a voice message from my mom!! i don't mean to call you out mom, but if i can just be 100% honest, my mom and i haven't always seen eye to eye on things. we've had our complete differences and truthfully, and sadly, we haven't spoken to each other (on the phone) in almost 2 yrs. :( things are gradually changing it seems and it looks like God is working things out for us. THANK YOU mom for calling me, even if you got my voice mail. it was really a big SURPRISE for me to hear from you over the phone. i don't always put this part of my heart on the line if you know what i mean...because it's just too personal, but i thought i would share that with you guys today. it just really meant a lot to me and it made me really happy. funny how one phone call can help heal several wounds. i love you mom.
this year i want to extend myself more. i have felt this urge for awhile that i want to be more involved in others lives. i don't know how or when or why...i just feel like i have a gift to show mercy (i also took a spiritual gifts analysis and that is what my strongest gift was, showing mercy). one way or another i want to use my abilities to magnify the Lord. this year is the year. i've grown in so many ways, spiritually in the past 2 yrs alone. i'm very thankful for that. :)
tonight we're dropping haylee off with grammy and tim and i are going out with a few of my friends and their significant others to dave & busters. i'm excited!
ok i'll end this with a request (taking after you brandy!) -- my sister in law NEEDS to have this baby TODAY. otherwise, i'm afraid she'll be in the hospital over thanksgiving day. :( we are going to her house for thanksgiving, so i'm a bit worried how this t-day is going to turn out. pray pray pray that baby emma is born on her auntie melissa's birthday! nov 20th, what a WONDERFUL present that would be for me! :) :) :)
love you all...thanks for the ecards, you know who you are!
