little tweaks here n' there, but i *think* i might have some sort of schedule for myself that i can deal with. ;) let me just say, it's awesome that my WONDERFUL hubby, Tim, cooks dinner every night. he's amazing, don't know how i'd ever do it without him! it makes those midnight feedings and me dealing with baby stuff a lot more manageable when i can come home to a tidy house & a cooked meal. so thank you honey {doubt he's reading this anyway...ha ha}.
i decided - as of yesterday - that i am going to start showering at night. yesterday Aiden wanted to stay awake after his last feeding {5:30am}...weeeeell, usually that would be my time to shower and get ready for work, yikes! so i just hung out with him until 6:30am, doing a few things here and there...then when Haylee woke up i quickly got ready {no shower, no time, boo...}. i took a shower last night and wouldn't ya know it, the little booger slept in until almost 7am! you can't "plan" anything around a little baby i swear, ha ha. too funny Aiden. anyway...my shower last night lasted 30 mins and it was so nice, a great little spa moment for me, i took my time {haven't done that in awhile} - so yup, that's a new tweak in my daily schedule. one less thing i have to worry about in the {crazy} mornings!
we are all slowly adjusting to our new schedules and sometimes they can get hairy with Haylee having to be dropped of at 7:20am, picked up at 2-something some days and 12:50 another day, the baby having to be picked up {he's not really on my way home, but the price is SO right, so it works}, Haylee's Brownie meetings and other meetings and places we have to be...i do not know how people do it with multiple children. maybe i'm just not good at multi-tasking! ;)
Haylee is the best big sister. her brother just adores her! honestly he does, he looks at her and just lights up. she makes him laugh and she loves that. today she had a book report due...it was a written, speech and a project she had to do. she worked SO hard on it, i hope she did a good job! she did good when she practiced at home, i am so proud of her. she still needs to work on math. :\ definitely my child when it comes to that...ugh. did you know they have mulitiplication times table songs? she is singing them in her class...i'm going to download some from iTunes to put on her iPod. since she can relate to music, this is the best thing in the world for Haylee! she just spouts off those times tables in song, every night. she has even choreographed a dance to the songs....of course she has, right?! hee hee. my little performing artist! we have ALL intentions on putting her back into performing arts classes, just have to find some time.......
Aiden is the best baby ever! i will venture to say he is even smilier {is that a word?} than his sister! he is genuinely just a happy, inquisitive baby. he went to church with us last weekend and he was just hilarious, i was checking Haylee into her class {i keep the baby with me for now}, he just had big grins everywhere we walked and of course everyone wanted to stop and see the baby. ;) he was wearing the teddybear hat i crocheted and that was a hit too. yup, one day i should open up a shop....just have to find some time....hee hee. AJ is growing like a weed too. his 4 month check up is next Tues, Feb 1st. can't wait to find out his stats....i'm going to guess and say he's very close to 20lbs...he's a chunky boy. must be all that yummy mama milk. ;) he sure loves it. he's been rolling a lot more recently, only from belly to back but he's very close to rolling from back to belly too. we all clap and say "yaaaaay Aiden" and he gets a huge kick out of that. as for looks...he cannot be more opposite of Haylee...he's very fair skinned and has pretty blue eyes....he gets both things from me. he looks like a mini-me, with Tim's ears. :)
Tim and i are doing well...i think i can honestly say we are both more tired these days. but of course, it's all for the good and we wouldn't change a thing. ♥
