i'm still here! i know those of you blog readers are now emailing me. :) i probably won't be blogging as much as i did before and i'll tell you why. there's a lot of things on my plate right now...all GOOD stuff so far. this year is going to be a very BUSY year for us.
i am still working full time and it's getting into busy season now...so less and less computer time at work, ha ha! i'm working on figuring out all of the functions on my camera on the weekends while i'm running errands and doing other things as well. my house never seems clean...so that's an ongoing weekend task! Haylee has a pile of homework to do every week (it's ridiculous really, for 1st grade!). i just signed up for my Tues night Bible study again and that's until the end of the year. we are also house hunting. :) so you see, if i don't blog right away, don't be alarmed..i'm just living life..hee hee! but i will try popping on every so often!

OMG!!!!!
i am so super excited! here's what happened....
so on Thursday night Tim told me that he just wanted to go out to eat for dinner, i was fine with that because Thursday was a busy day at work for me. :) we also had plans to go buy our new Apple desktop computer {see below about our Apple laptop crashing...Tim gets money from the GI bill for his schooling online and he absolutely NEEDS a computer, so we decided to get one!}. as we were driving we drove past the place he said he was going to go...passed the Apple store...and i finally caught on after a few minutes. i knew where we were headed about halfway there!
Samy's Cameras!!!! he was going to buy my Digital SLR camera i have been blogging about for (seems like YEARS) awhile now. i am sure this was a GOD thing because check this out...i got:
- Canon EOS Xs 10.1 megapixel camera kit (lens included)
- EF 75-300mm extra lens
- 2 camera lens filters
- 2 Gig memory card
...and it was all under $600!!! if you know about DSLRs you know they are not inexpensive. this was a GOD deal. seriously. i know that HE put this camera in my path and i am SO blessed. i've been praying and praying for Him to show me and help me with my career path and then this!
oh i was so excited. i couldn't even spell my name when the lady asked me (for the warranty) and i gave her the wrong zip code! ha ha! i was sooooo giddy (well, still am). i put a new album on facebook of just pictures...of course the more i figure out and practice with this camera the more i will post and put up on facebook.
i still have pictures from the High School Musical on ice and Christmas on my old camera, so once i download the Kodak software i will put some of those up.
i feel so blessed! more to come later....going to go get cleaned up and go grab some dinner. :)

Ewwww weeee!
what A day! i had one of "those" days i guess you could say. ;) it's not so bad now that i look back, but in the hot seat i was flippin' around like a hot fish on a fryin' pan...ha ha. i've just been getting some things lined up at work and today/yesterday i filled in for the receptionist also, on top of that i was programming laptops and it was hot crazy busy at work! i guess it'll make the week go by super fast! we'll see.
so i don't think i've mentioned it on my blog because i'm scared to admit it aloud, but i think i've almost made it into a habit...i've been exercising daily! i get up at 5:30am and meet a friend at the end of the street and we walk 3 miles everyday. along with that we are trying to hike 2 times a month on Saturday. last Saturday we did a 7 mile hike through the Laguna canyons and boy was it breath-taking (in more ways than one, ha ha!). no but really, i LOVE hiking. i am so glad that i actually love working out, i have finally got it right.
not only that...i am super excited that God has made it clear to me how i should fit exercising and Bible reading/journaling into my day. i was struggling for awhile...but now i wake up at 5:30am (sometimes not so willingly) and work out - then i am doing my Bible study everyday in the evenings. gosh it works SO well for me...it's perfect! i have had to sacrifice some things like tv shows and getting online SO much (sorry everyone...) but i do get online once a day obviously and i just shorten my time online and i multi-task, i am online while dinner is baking! yay! it's fun to multi-task! :)

it's 2009!
Happy New Year!!
i hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Years' Eve and day! i know i'm late posting on my blog, just been busy and the whole computer issue. but we had fun! on New Yr's Eve we had our friends Shannon, Jimbo & Andrea & Andrea's brother from Houston was down visiting so we all hung out and sat around the fire pit in the back yard & enjoyed ourselves. :)
Haylee, Andrea and i made pizzas and they turned out SUPER yummy!! then we had chocolate cake with butter cream (and lotsa suuuuuugar) frosting i made! we played Catch Phrase and Haylee kept us entertained for most of the night. we turned on the New Yr's Rockin' Eve and Haylee watched the ball drop in Times Square (so 9pm) and shortly after she was asleep on the couch. ;) so much for staying awake all night for her, hee hee!
the rest of us rung in the New Yr and Tim even got cigars for everyone...ha ha. i haven't puffed on a cigar in YEARS. it was crazy. the bonfire was a great idea, i loved it and it was so cold so the fire kept us toasty.
i am not really one to make New Yr Resolutions...but i have a few goals i set for myself and i'm going to try my hardest to achieve them all this year. physically i am going to work out more. i say this {don't we all?} every year, but this year i actually started well before the New Year...i've been walking 3 miles a day in the mornings (week days) with my walking pal Shannon. :) and i've been hiking more. so that is my goal, to get FIT. i'm thin, now need to work on the healthy part - it's fun!! spiritually i have set a goal to read the Bible everyday and journal my thoughts. i started this the day after Christmas because i got a new Bible (I LOVE IT!!!! it's the NIV/The Message dual translation...i can't get enough) and a new journal. i enjoy my studies! and the last goal is to start my freelance photo biz. i have a lot of loose ends {ha, like buying a CAMERA} before i can get this one jump started...but that's what goals are all about...this may be more of a long term one for me, but it'll happen, i just have FAITH and i KNOW it.
i hope you ALL had a great New Year and 2009 is a blessed year for you. i know it's going to be a challenging year, but i pray we all stay focused this year on God and His blessings. God bless you all - Happy New Year! ;)
