my talent for HIS glory.

i have been thinking and praying about HOW i can use my special talents in a way to give praise to God and honor Him. we all have something we're good at - whether it be good at caring for children, good at speaking, good at serving...well, as you know, i am good at what i love doing which is photography. i know our church has a lot of talented individuals. we have the BEST worship arts leaders i know. i just love the music and the talent involved is apparent. i am honestly moved every service and i love it.

so i believe it was revealed to me today. this is how God talks to me...because, i will be the first to admit i don't have much common sense. i am a little ditzy. ;) God throws a huge sign at the front of the church stating there will be a Photography Team meeting and for those interested in joining the Photography Team at the church this Thursday night at 6pm. first of all...hello, i didn't know there was an actual "Photography Team" at my church! wow! and secondly, it seems like whenever any of the worship arts team meets it's during the day, never after work hours, so double bonus for ME!

on top of this HUGE sign - the pastor was preaching about how you can use your time, money and TALENT for God. so the whole time in the service it was just there for me to think about. i thought about not going and then i asked myself, why not? what do you have to lose? nothing. they either will use me or they won't. they will either have projects that work around my work and family schedule, or they won't. nothing to lose there! a lot to gain...giving back and serving (which is the obedient thing to do)...meeting new people who have the same interests i do {i'm so grateful to have a lot of photographer friends too already!}...and possibly learning more about photography, which is always a plus! so i just emailed the man in charge and we shall see. :) i'm very excited about the possibilities. i think only GOOD will come out of this. now all i need is a FLASH for my camera {they are so stinkin' expensive...}. ahhh can't wait for Thursday!
