so wow - this weekend has been full of many fun things! for the most part it's been pretty kick back which is always nice around the holidays. let's see what we've been up to...
thursday - Happy Thanksgiving! we woke up in the morning, went to Starbucks for breakfast and then went to see the movie "Four Christmases". this movie is actually near and dear to us, for our dear nephew (Haylee's cousin) Jacob makes an appearance in this movie! he is the blonde haired kid in the bounce house with Reese Witherspoon. it was just me, Haylee & Tim and just so happened Jakey and the family (Tim's sister Nicole, her husband Brian, Jacob, Tyler & Lilly & Nicole's dad) were ALL there at the very same movie & showing! how funny! so we all sat next to each other, shared some popcorn and CHEERED {oh yes we did} loudly when we saw our Jacob on the BIG screen, lol. :) it was a lot of fun. after that we went home to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner. we had it later on in the day and all of the family were there, it was a lot of fun {for pictures see my facebook or Haylee's blog for a slideshow}.
friday - Tim woke up at 6am and headed out to Walmart for some Black Friday deals. he's usually the one that goes as i do not like to get out of bed that early to fight a mean crowd. i'm pretty passive, i probably wouldn't have ended up with much to come back home with...ha ha! he did really good and Haylee will have an even better Christmas because of it. thanks honey! ;) after that we got some coffee and went to Target (the three of us) but they didn't have much. we just went to a few different stores and then went home to decorate the house with Christmas lights!!!! it was really a lot of FUN actually and now our house is so pretty and lit up at night.
last night we wanted to go to dinner to a different place that we had never been. so we drove to Newport Beach hoping to find something and we drove by Joe's Crab Shack and decided to give that a try. it was soooooo funny because - i don't know if you have ever been to Joe's, but every hour they stop waitressing/waitering and they put on a colored disco ball and start dancing. so we walked in on THAT and just laughed so hard. :) we weren't expecting it at all. ha ha! but all in all it was fun to try something new and the Joe's was on the water so we had a great view. we will definitely go there again. i had crab and LOVED it!
today {saturday} - this morning we woke up and Haylee & i made french toast. had to try out our new electric griddle we bought at Target the other day. it was good! then we just hung out and we went to church tonight. when we got home Haylee & i made some pizza and ate some pink peppermint ice cream {which is to die for!}.
so that's it for now...i hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. i've been eating like crazy - probably gained weight but i don't want to know...ha ha. i am going to try to get back on track this week (until Christmas comes then it's another story!).
tomorrow i've deemed it to be my laundry/clean house day. yipeee (ha!).
