lovin' it

hi there - i know it's been awhile. that mainly is due to our laptop (our ONLY computer at home) crashing it's hard drive. :( yup, that's right it happened two days before Christmas...we're borrowing a laptop, otherwise we wouldn't have access to the internet or a computer at all. so sad! even sadder is Tim and i never backed anything up so we lost 2.5 years worth of pics, videos, itunes songs (we can probably call itunes and get all of our songs back once we get a new computer) and just lost everything. nothing was salvaged.

so anyway trying not to let that get me down! i have a lot of pics saved on the blogs, photobucket and facebook so that's a relief. :)

Christmas was great. i got almost everything i wanted (and at the beginning of next yr i'll be able to get my camera too!!). i am really blessed! i got new boots, running shoes, a journal with cool pens, some stuff from Victoria Secret, Mama Mia (yay!), a Roxy beanie hat, Britney Spears cd (i like her music, yes), pajamas, Soap & Glory bath set, a mouse Nutcracker (from Haylee), a pretty sweater from my mom in law and a dual translation Bible from dad in law (i have been wanting this for forever!!! i am stoked!) - it's NIV/The Message Bible. i got gift cards and smelly goods and just was really truly blessed this year with some nice things. :)

we had ALL of the fam over at night and i made prime rib & ham, green beans and stuffing (my specialty stuffing, yum!) and then the fam brought some other sides. it was soooooo good. Kathy even made my fav cheeseball...girl i love that thing. :) thank you all! we had a super great time and everyone was happy, which makes ME happy.

yesterday Tim, Haylee and i just shopped around (window shopped), returned/exchanged some things at the mall and then last night we saw Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler. my nephew Jacob was in that movie too. we saw him briefly a couple of times in the cowboy scene. :) how fun! it was a CUTE movie, i liked it a lot. Haylee even stayed awake through the whole movie, which was amazing actually.

today we've been cleaning and then we drove around and enjoyed the weather, it's nice in the 60's today and chilly but sunny. tonight Haylee and i are making a homemade pizza and then the three of us are going to the outdoor mall to walk around and have some Golden Spoon frozen yogurt. ;)

tomorrow we'll probably finish up our cleaning and laundry and then hang out. get ready for the work week. praying it's an easy week at work and not too much hecticness going on. i really have to focus and perform better this year. i'm praying God will lead me to where He needs me and that i become a better person. i know this past year i struggled a little. but that is the beauty of a new year. you can "start over" and do better and shoot for your goals. i get worried so much of things unknown, but leaving it in God's hands (as He asks me to do) is so much more beneficial to ME. sometimes it's just hard to do, but i know that He has a plan for me and my life and my family's lives as well.

all that being said i've started journaling (since last night) through the book of Luke. Luke fascinates me. i don't know why but i'm drawn to that book! i can't wait for Him to show me what i need to know out of Luke. my journal is just a journey and i think it's going to be something wonderful. :)

i hope you all are having a great holiday season. i will try to get on here soon and blog again. with love!
