crazy times

have you been to the post office lately? or even Target? i feel like i'm going to get hurt out here in the world...LOL! this time of year brings the true crazy out in people. i get so nervous, and some major anxiety issues start setting in when i even think of Christmas shopping. really we're done, just have one more nephew (and it's a gift card but the place is open weird hours and you can't buy it online...weird!) and then i am still gift shopping for Tim. i know exactly what i want to get him, it's the matter of getting out to the mall that frightens the bejesus outta me!

the other day i dropped off (paid packages) stuff to my mom and sister and the post office gave me hives. :) not really since my packages were paid for online {smart move there Mel, whew!}. the lines were wrapped OUTSIDE and about 20 people in the line for the automated thing (love that machine!). i was so blessed, i pulled in and a car pulled out, i didn't have to wait, thank you Jesus.

i'm nervously blogging right now, waiting for my review at work. my tummy's in knots. i hate being evaluated especially lately i feel like i haven't been on my A game, although i'm really trying to redeem myself. ;) i just pray they see the GOOD and overlook most of the bad and pray it all weighs out. i'm sure i'll be fine, i mean, i'm so happy just to be employed at this point. so many people i know are being laid off. pray for my family as a lot of them are laid off right now. it's incredibly sad.

tomorrow is my company's Christmas (or "Holiday" if you are "PC", but i'm not, ha!) party. it's only going to last a few hours and i get free breakfast and a $100 gift card, so i'm happy 'bout that! all the admin girls are swapping gifts this year and since i don't think any of them read this i will tell you that i have been a busy GIRL crocheting them ALL scarves and one a set of slippers since she hates scarves. ;) so, yea. 6 scarves in one week. my hands are feeling very sore lately, hee hee. but very well worth it to see the smiles on their face and hopefully something they will use for years to come. i love doing it - it relieves some of the ADD in me every night. :)

ok...only mins til my review...pray for me!

Mel, I tell you this because I know you can understand. Last Christmas, I was reading I dont remember what and had prayed for help with my own anxiety issues over Christmas shopping and crowds (just the beginning for me!), and I read a passage about how crowded it must have been in Bethlehem prior to Jesus' birth. If there was no room in the inn, can you imagine the shops? :0) Ok, so an entirely different time and perspective between then and now, but somehow thinking of that put my mind at ease. Has worked for me this year, too. (((HUGS))) to you, I am with you on the anxiety. Love you, girl, thanks for the beautiful pic of toothless Haylee!
