huh? where have i been?

wow where has the time gone? i haven't really been in a blogging mood. i actually try not to get online SO much these days...i go in spurts i guess, ha ha!

i do have some pictures and a video of Haylee to upload tho', so i'm going to have to do that sometime soon. i really need to blog on H's blog too...i wonder if anyone still reads that one?? i should try to hop on there and at least blog about the funny & cute things she has been talking about lately.

let's see...well i've been ok! this past week at work was not great tho' i have to say. i won't get into detail since it's water under the bridge, but i just hope these next few weeks just fly by until i'm on vacation from work. ;) i'm taking off the week of Christmas (except Monday) so i can go with my sister in law to take the girls to High School Musical 3 on ice (12/23). i told H but i think she forgot, so i haven't mentioned it since...i cannot WAIT until she goes it's going to be so much fun!!! i have never been to anything on ice so i think i will thoroughly enjoy myself as well, hee hee. :) then 12/24 i will be prepping the house all day for the guests coming over on Christmas day. we have the whole fam (minus Jeff, Brandie and their slew of kidlets since they'll be going to Utah this year) - plus some friends who don't have family near. we love doing this every year! a little nerve wrecking for me cooking the meat for the WHOLE family. no one likes microwaved ham. trust me. ;) but last year went wonderfully...so praying for another year of awesomeness and family FUN. i LOVE Christmas!

besides work, helping H with her homework (she has SO much!), Bible study, cleaning, cooking, party prepping, etc... we've been great. we put up all of our Christmas decor and the lights outside and our neighborhood loves to decorate and it's beautiful at night. i love driving around and looking at lights. we've been doing that and then we'll go to Starbucks for a white hot chocolate (omg this is to die for). it's pretty magical. :)

last night H spent the night with her cousin and Tim and i went to a Christmas party. our friends Andrea & Jimbo (or Jimmy if you don't know him that well) had a party and it was great. their house is just B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L....seriously my dream house layout. i loved it. we drank some wine, sat around the fire pits, ate some yummy food and had a Christmas "steal" gift game (i think it's also called White Elephant). i was the very last person and chose some MAC lipgloss set. yay! Tim stole an Ed Hardy martini set for the last time so he was happily stuck with it. it's soooo cool! it was the best White Elephant i've ever participated in, ha ha! :)

i honestly love this time of year. we are almost DONE shopping...there was a little glitch with the main gift we ordered online from Walmart for Haylee...so we're going to have to return it and get a new one...so that was a little disheartening but ah well, what can you do? at least we took it apart and out of the box today so that we knew there was a problem (instead of on Christmas Eve!). anyway i just have Tim to buy for.

i have decided to wait on getting my camera as my Christmas gift. just because i want a really good camera and if i get one NOW i will not get as good of one like i will in the next couple of months. i am really stuck on what i want since i've done a lot of research on this camera! it's something i am taking seriously - so i don't want to "rush" it and get something i'm not going to like. hope that makes sense...it does to me! so this year i'm just asking for a few small things. it's not about me and what i get anyway - i like to give gifts and make things.

speaking of making things i've been on a scarf FRENZY! i've gotten so many compliments at work on my scarves, i'm going to try to make a bunch and give them as gifts this year. they are cute and fun and i've learned a few new stitches too (thanks to you tube!). i love it, it really relaxes me and makes my heart happy to see others loving my work.

so yea...i guess that's what i've been up to. :) i think i'm going to go update H's blog now. it's been awhile. take care and have a great week. i promise to not be such a stranger again. xoxo
