holiday family fun

we've been havin' a blast this weekend! on friday night we went to the harbor to watch the boat parade. every year they light up and decorate the yachts & boats and parade around the harbor. it's a lot of fun {not to mention free!} to watch. we love it. :) by the way we were dressed you'd think it was zero below, but it was really nice in the 60's and a nice cold breeze being on the ocean.

after that we went to look at Christmas lights like we do every weekend, so much fun. we always go up into this wealthy area (not gated) and these million dollar homes have the most extravagant decorations, it's GREAT. one year this one house even have snow machines to make it look like it was SNOWING in their yard! now that's over the top, ha ha! mind you...it doesn't snow here. ;)

yesterday Tim and i dropped off Haylee at Gram's for a few hours and did some very important errands/shopping we needed to get done. i don't think Haylee wants a bike anymore for Christmas but she is asking Santa for a Christmas barbie and a heart pillow this year, ha ha. silly girl. so we "put that order in" for Santa. ;) after that we got ready to go to our church Christmas concert. the whole family went and it was GREAT fun. loved it. afterward we always go to Dad & Mom DeMers' for dinner, we had lasagna and tons of other hors' devours. and of course some awesome sweet bread with rum gravy stuff...i don't know the technical name but it was bomb. :)

today our plans (after i get off of here!) are to take Haylee up to the outdoors mall and see Santa. he has a little house out there and he comes out and sings to you and it's great fun. Haylee loved it last year! hopefully it's a hit this year too. after that we're doing some other small shopping and then going home to BAKE BAKE BAKE! i will take pictures.

there is a Holiday 2008 album on my facebook so be sure to take a look at all the cute pics i have on there.

xoxo

Sounds like such a wonderful weekend.
Had to comment that the beautiful pink scarf that sweeet Haylee has around her neck is just like the one you made me with the hat. I wear it still all the time and get so many compliments on them Melissa. You should set up a little store online and sell your things. I know, like you need something more to do, right!
Love you and so glad you had such a nice weekend with your family.
Hugs from Ohio,
