...keep in mind, it is football season. :) this afternoon one of my friends {Ann}, Haylee and i had a "girls' afternoon" as i called it and watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. it was actually really great and i LOVED it! i thought the first one was good and cute, but the 2nd one was definitely better. very very very cute chic flick. i totally recommend it to all the chics in my life. ;)my weekend went by rather fast actually! Haylee had a soccer game on Saturday and that was good. then Saturday night we dropped her off at my sister-in-law, Nicki's and she spent the night there with Lilly. she had a lot of fun as always with her cousins. Tim and i went to Maki Maki, a Japanese place and we had soooooo much sushi. now...here's the funny part...i do NOT like sushi. :) but...i DO like cooked or seared sushi. i had "volcano rolls" which was crab meat with rice wrapped in seaweed and that was wrapped in seared salmon...it was THE BOMB. i also had a shrimp tempura roll. which was basically fried shrimp in a California roll, which was also great. i also had another thing that i cannot remember but i remember i liked it and then Tim had a tuna and cream cheese roll and for some reason i was not feelin' that one. the texture or something, ew. we also had hot saki, which i like! it was great to get out and we were at an outdoor mall and on the weekend they have different bands. we heard this guy and he was singing more reggae-ish...Jason Mraz (which is one of Tim's fav singers) type music and he was great! we watched him for about 4 songs. kind of romantic because he was by a water structure, it was nice at any rate. :)
today we just hung out and Tim went to the Stadium to watch the Raiders (win!!!!) and Haylee and i saw that movie. then we went shopping for some fall decor...i just love the fall, it's my FAVORITE season. we have some things planned for this fall, i cannot wait.
my new Bible study starts on Tuesday! i am stoked. my friend wasn't able to join, so i'm a little sad/bummed about that but i know that something GOOD is going to come out of this. we also did something different in church on Saturday night. we all had to think of something, anything, that has been laying heavy on our hearts lately and write it out on an index card, pass it to the center of the church and the ushers took them up, shuffled them and then when you left church that night you grabbed one and this week we are supposed to have intercession for that person. it was crazy and cool and i loved it. i got a really good one, which i will not share with you on here, but i really love this idea!
ok well better get going now...have a great week. :)

The enemy is going to do everything he can to STOP you from going to that bible study!!!!! He will cause stumbling blocks and insecurites and his tactics because he knows right how to stand in the way! BUT!!!!! HE WON'T WIN! Because something GREAT and i mean GREAT is going to happen to you in this Bible Study. Just trust me on this one! GO EXPECTING. Not sure which Tuesday it will happen, but it WILL happen! It's gonna be good! ENDURE to the end of this bible study. Don't give in to the enemy!
And.......I love the idea of interceding for a brother/sister in need for the week. That is awesome!
Also, how long is your ride to work? I have a great CD set from joel Osteen that I have had for awhile and have been doing ALOT of traveling for my job which means lots of hours in the car and I have been listening to him. I could send them out for you to listen to. You would love them I know! BUT.....you really need at least 1/2 hr at a time to listen to them. There are 7 I think in the series? Or 6 maybe?
I cannot even WAIT to hear how your bible study is tomorrow.
Be strong and confident in going by yourself. Remember, you are a daughter of the most high GOD! You can do ALL THINGS through Him who gives you the strength.
You are not going without lots of prayers surrounding you tomorrow. Just know that Melissa! You have a prayer warrior here in OHIO praying for you and HAS BEEN for months now! Or maybe even over a year now?????
Ok, this got long didnt it!
LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU for your words of wisdom. i have come to realize that in life...when i am doing something RIGHT, there is always something making me NOT want to go (Satan?), but when i am doing something i shouldn't be, sometimes the road is much too easy...therefore i feel in my HEART that this is the right thing for me to do (the Bible study). i mean, ive been waiting for something like this for years now. :)
so i'm totally doin' it...just a little (a lot?) nervous in going alone. but, yet, not alone. hey i am sure one of the gals i was in choir with will be there...it's a pretty large church. :) i'm excited and nervous...
thank you thank you thank you for your prayers. and my commute to work is only 10-15 mins...but i could listen to 15 mins there and 15 mins back, right? i would love to hear it! i love Joel Osteen!
xoxo
