enjoying the simple things.

this weekend was amazingly great!  which is probably why i did not blog.  now that i'm working full time and am still doing photo on the weekends i take advantage of every minute with my kiddos and hubby, or at least try to.  ;)  usually if i'm on facebook that means i am nursing Aiden...and if you've ever done that, you know you are stuck somewhere for a bit, so i figure why not.

Saturday was a fun day...in the morning we met up with some friends {friends we met through friends} who were in town visiting, it was a very nice coffee & bagels at our favorite little spot Bagels n' Brew.  then we took a walk, which got cut real short because the baby got hungry.  ;)  after that we went home & i prepped for my photo shoot.  it was an hour away, at California Baptist University...what a beautiful campus!  i will definitely be recommending that location whenever i do my Inland Empire shoots.  the family was super sweet and the two brothers were 8 years apart, just like my kids!  they got along fairly well (the older one was 14, younger was 6).  nice, fun couple too...can't wait to get their sneak peek up on my fanpage tonight!!  when i got home we pretty much just chilled out as a family, Tim grilled some burgers.

yesterday i wanted so badly to go to church, but i was soooooo stinkin' tired {story of my life right now, still adjusting to getting up at 5am every morning and that's when i am already getting up 1-2 times to feed the baby for 30 mins too!}.  so i promised myself that we'd listen to the podcast online.  we had a good morning, i made some eggs & toast {and coffee!} and we hung out as a family downstairs for a bit.  then Tim went to the Stadium to hang out with his guy friends & pay out on fantasy football & watch some games.  the kids and i went to Michael's because Haylee has a book report due soon & she has to give a speech & do a project on the book so we got some fun stuff for that {love doing this with her!}.  then we went to the market to pick up some food for dinner.  :)  went home, worked on Haylee's projects a little, did some photo editing a little, snuggled & fed the baby, watched some tv with Haylee.  when Tim came home we cooked some teriyaki chicken on the grill and Haylee played her new game "Just Dance 2"...that kid LOVES to dance.  we are going to get her into a dance studio soon.  she says she wants to do Hip Hop & Contemporary...LOL, two totally different styles, so we'll see.  ;)

anywho...lovely weekend, loved being with my family!  loved having a day to just my kids too.  now it's back to reality!  i have to work today {MLK bday}, boooo.  but i'm making the most of it.  hoping it won't be too busy.

i'm rambling on and on, aren't i?  oh well!  i'm happy today!  knock on wood...the baby has been doing really well with sleep.  i put him down at 9pm {sometimes a little earlier if he's tired}, he wakes up at 1:30am and 4am to eat then goes right back to sleep.  :)  praying it stays this way or better!  i know babies change schedules a lot, so i'm not keeping my hopes up.  but it sure is helping me get caught up and making getting up at 5am a little easier.

i wanted to share this Bible verse with you i read this morning...

Psalm 16:11 -
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence...
