my love.

just thought i would post a picture of my love, my daughter Haylee from tonight. every since she has learned how to swim - she has been going into the pool every night after i pick her up from The Learning Center {except Tues night because i was tired and Wed night because Haylee and i went to her friend's house after work}. she LOVES it.

i think she is such a sweet little person! i did hurt her feelings this morning, but she has forgiven me. :) sometimes, as parents we say and DO things that we know aren't right. i've never been afraid to tell Haylee that Mommy was wrong. i've never kept anything from her {except for those things i know will keep her inocence such as Santa and the tooth fairy...but we all know those things don't last nearly long enough, so why ruin it for them}. i got a little over-heated at her this morning, but i apologized and admited to her that i was wrong. i was surprised at how fast she got over it, hugged me, we dried our eyes {yes, we cried!} and bingo...we were cool again. i might just have the coolest kid ever. well, i think so. :) but i think she is beyond her years sometimes. she has the soul of an older person, if you will. i wonder if holding on having a 2nd child helped her in this way? sometimes i wonder that. i see people who have kid after kid or even a few years a part and how they bicker and fight and are at each other constantly and i thank my stars that i don't have that, LOL. but i do want another child, and we will have one {in our OWN time, thank you.}. i just honestly don't think they'll be that way. there will be too many years between them, and i'm am completely fine with that. and i know Haylee will be fine with that too. :)

Tim and i are getting SO excited about the upcoming weeks, months, this next year. so many things going on! i cannot believe it's already mid-August! Haylee's birthday party, birthday, then our trip to CO/Vegas, our 10 year wedding anniversary, football party, annual Halloween party, Thanksgiving and before you know it folks....Christmas! i can't believe we're already seeing Halloween stuff being put out in stores!! crazy! which reminds me, i need to be thinking more intently of what i want to be for Halloween this year. who knows what Haylee will be. one minute it's a cheerleader and the next it's something else. who knows. ;) kind of silly to be thinking that far, right? :D

hmmmm....well i've started reading "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. it's pretty good - i'm just on chapter 2 {it takes me forever to read books because i honestly thing i have an attention disorder, lol}. i'm still getting into the mindset of the book, pretty good so far and i've heard good things from friends! i just finished "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult and it was pretty good. controversial and sad, but good.

anyways....i think i am about to go nighty night. thanks for reading!
