we are for eachother: then laugh, leaning back in my arms for life's not a paragraph. --ee cummings

oh today.

today started out great! Haylee was super excited because we were having open house at her school tonight and last year this time we were in New York, so we didn't get to go, therefore tonight would be our very FIRST open house ever (since she's only in the 1st grade). she was SO excited. so was i, it makes me happy to see her so excited about things. :)

work. hmm. well i've been doing double duty at work - i may have mentioned it...my co-worker that i usually help do word processing is on vacation. so, i help her when she's here...so that's two people doing word processing. so basically i'm doing a three man job. ;) which is fine. all was fine and all will be fine. today though was tough. some people aren't coming in tomorrow (friday) and so they were hounding me for their projects and on top of my job - i thought i was going to have a mild nervous break down. but i didn't. i broke down a little on the car ride home. i stayed late and Haylee open house was tonight and i didn't know if i was going to make it (but i did). it just wasn't an IDEAL day.

there are a few things bothering me...but since i'm not sure who all has access to my blog i won't be mentioning those things here. i will just say that it's truly unfair that some people can get away with anything and they get by in life by doing as little as possible and nothing ever happens to them. YET others work honest and hard and it goes by unoticed it seems. this is what i broke down about. not the overload of work that is still sitting in my inbox. just the fact that honest people get stepped on. it's true. my spirit has been broken about this lately.

it makes me wonder if God is just putting me in a position to make me not feel so comfortable where i'm at. if that makes sense. maybe there's something else He's preparing for me, something good. at any rate i prayed for this person today. :) and i remember what Mrs J always says to me...Isaiah 54:17 - "no weapon that is formed against me will prosper." it's so true! i love it.

anyway - all that said i rushed home, changed into jeans, scarfed down a taco bell beef/potato burrito that Tim bought me (he also was sweet and picked Haylee up from school & cleaned her up!). then we walked to Haylee's school and say all her friends, her teacher, student teacher, classroom, all her projects and we exchanged her best friend Madison's info with her mom. took some pictures with my cell phone. it was awesome. she didn't want to leave school! we stayed a good hour and a half. we checked out a 2nd grade classroom, pretty much the same, a little more sophisticated. it was so much FUN. a great way to end a stinky day! ;)
