boooo sinus infection!

i went to bed at 9pm last night and woke up at 10am! i felt HORRIBLE and still do. this one hit me hard and fast...another nasty sinus infection.

i wonder if it has anything to do with this crazy weather? one day it's in the upper 60's and the next few days it's in the 90's (like today). it's pretty ridiculous. makes me want to pack up my bags and move somewhere with all four seasons.

and what is UP with all of these out of control California FIRES? remember last year? it was really scary and very close to home - so close it was raining ash and smelled like smoke inside the house with all doors and windows shut. it's not that bad (yet) here where we are, but there are BIG fires NOT too far. closer to both of Tim's brothers, so please keep them in your prayers! and one of my sister-in-law's (Kathy's) sister's husband (did ya follow?) is a firefighter - so please keep Jay in your prayers also. that has to be a tough and scary job putting out fires and daily putting yourself at risk. firefighters and police officers are definitely HEROES. i don't think they get enough credit. and their families!

although i was/am sick as a DOG (arf!) today...i still tried to do family things without being TOO whiny. i know i get that way when i'm ill. it's a pain. i know i'm a pain. i am so sad this is happening over the weekend though, why can't i get sick during the work week? ;) i have PLENTY of sick leave too! arf!

don't laugh but last night we put up the Christmas tree WITH all decor. :) we were thinking of putting up the lights outside too but thought it was too early...come to find out as we were driving around the neighborhood today, a family 3 houses down already has all of their Christmas lights put up outside! wow! so we aren't the early birds as we thought! ha ha. i thought that was funny. hey...if they are selling Christmas stuff this early, it is not too early to put up. that's my theory. also, we LOVE Christmas here and we like to decorate and celebrate early since it lasts only about a month anyway. we are Christmas freaks. i know. we have the stockings and everything up. we love it! the past few weeks we have been watching movies as a family (Haylee loves this!) such as..."How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "Alvin & the Chipmunks" (it has a main Christmas theme) and tonight we watched "The Santa Clause 3". Tim and i will be bustin' out the "Love Actually"...one of our all time Christmas favs. we love it.

we've already finished up Christmas shopping for ALL of the kids in the family! now we just need to find the parents things and a few more things for Haylee and then shop for each other, then we are done. i don't think we've been done Christmas shopping THIS early in a long time. yay!

well...i better get going. my nose is starting to run again and have to go catch it...ha. ugh. being sick is for the birds!
