Happy New Year!!
i hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Years' Eve and day! i know i'm late posting on my blog, just been busy and the whole computer issue. but we had fun! on New Yr's Eve we had our friends Shannon, Jimbo & Andrea & Andrea's brother from Houston was down visiting so we all hung out and sat around the fire pit in the back yard & enjoyed ourselves. :)
Haylee, Andrea and i made pizzas and they turned out SUPER yummy!! then we had chocolate cake with butter cream (and lotsa suuuuuugar) frosting i made! we played Catch Phrase and Haylee kept us entertained for most of the night. we turned on the New Yr's Rockin' Eve and Haylee watched the ball drop in Times Square (so 9pm) and shortly after she was asleep on the couch. ;) so much for staying awake all night for her, hee hee!
the rest of us rung in the New Yr and Tim even got cigars for everyone...ha ha. i haven't puffed on a cigar in YEARS. it was crazy. the bonfire was a great idea, i loved it and it was so cold so the fire kept us toasty.
i am not really one to make New Yr Resolutions...but i have a few goals i set for myself and i'm going to try my hardest to achieve them all this year. physically i am going to work out more. i say this {don't we all?} every year, but this year i actually started well before the New Year...i've been walking 3 miles a day in the mornings (week days) with my walking pal Shannon. :) and i've been hiking more. so that is my goal, to get FIT. i'm thin, now need to work on the healthy part - it's fun!! spiritually i have set a goal to read the Bible everyday and journal my thoughts. i started this the day after Christmas because i got a new Bible (I LOVE IT!!!! it's the NIV/The Message dual translation...i can't get enough) and a new journal. i enjoy my studies! and the last goal is to start my freelance photo biz. i have a lot of loose ends {ha, like buying a CAMERA} before i can get this one jump started...but that's what goals are all about...this may be more of a long term one for me, but it'll happen, i just have FAITH and i KNOW it.
i hope you ALL had a great New Year and 2009 is a blessed year for you. i know it's going to be a challenging year, but i pray we all stay focused this year on God and His blessings. God bless you all - Happy New Year! ;)
