this week

geesh i'm so sorry i have not been a good blogger buddy. :) this week is just a'flying by too! so on Saturday we had a dual birthday party for my niece and Haylee's 6th birthdays. my niece turned 6 on August 6th and Haylee turns 6 on August 23rd (Saturday). it was a lot of fun and we had over 30 people at our place {at least our house is decent size for it!}. Haylee got a TON of cute gifts and she just had a blast. :) thanks for all of you who came, it was a lot of fun.

Sunday we went out to brunch, we were so tired from the night before! it was a nice day, we also did a little shopping and just drove around. we went to the jetty and the weather was just amazing. nothing beats this Southern California weather...nothing.

yesterday, Monday, was a very decent day for a Monday actually. i was surprised. i really had a great day at work and everything was just peachy. except somehow i pulled a muscle in my neck and ow...it really hurts to sleep on that. today, Tuesday, i had to be at work at 7am, so i got off at 4. it was a nice day today too actually. until i got home really...then one of my friends called with some horrible news and i just ask you pray for my friend. God knows her circumstance and situations and i just pray you just lift her up. thank you...

tonight my neck is hurting SO badly and i don't know if it's just my allergies acting out again {because they do A LOT} or if it's acid reflux or something of the like because my throat just feels like it's on fire. :( i'm fallin' apart tonight guys! i cried because my neck hurts so bad i can't even turn it. i don't usually ache like this, so i'm not sure what i did...whether i just slept on it wrong or pulled a muscle, but i took some motrin so hopefully i will start feeling less pain in the neck! ow!!

tomorrow is a big day for me! i am going over to my friend Andrea's mom's house. Andrea's mom is a photographer! :) so i requested i meet her and have her talk to me and give me the ins and outs of the life of a real live photographer. i'm nervous and excited and anxious!! this should be fun, i still have to write down some questions i have for her. you know how it is, you get there and forget everything you ever wanted to ask. ;) there are SO many questions and i just pray God leads me to the right people to help me attain my goals of becoming a photographer. i already have some things in mind, but i don't want to share them at this time because i'm really still in the brain storming stage. ;) but soon! so be prepared for that! i just KNOW this is something i was meant to do. i'm so artistic and photo is something i really CAN share my creativity and my flair. i'm super stoked! yeah!!

Friday night i think we have plans to do a few things as a family and Haylee and I are going to make her birthday cake on Fri night. it has been a De Mers' family tradition {just between me, Tim and Haylee} to let her eat birthday cake on the MORNING of her birthday. that's right, bday cake for breakfast. ;) this is the ONLY day she is allowed to do so! she LOVES it!! so she picked out the Pillsbury FUN-fetti cake with the PINK frosting {would you expect anything less?}. so i'm excited to do that with her....pictures WILL be taken. ;) promise!

i do have a bunch of pics from Saturday's party, which i did put on facebook. but just in case you don't have a facebook i have all intentions of making a slideshow after her actual bday on Saturday, so i can add all of them together. she's growing up so big so fast. i just cannot believe it!
